On Monday, April 24 we began our fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!
We had our annual kick-off assembly during opening ceremony where we were heard information about St. Jude from Julie Hines, representative from the Peoria St. Jude Office. We then were blessed to hear the journey's of three St. Jude patients. Altman's very own Halle (3rd grader), Val (daughter of Ms. Weghorst) and Tess (daughter of former 108 teacher, Libby, and the featured patient on the photo card in each child's packet). Later, Mrs. Brown visited each classroom and spoke more about fundraising efforts for this amazing hospital.
By clicking on the link below, you are able to view the letter that was sent home with each child, describing how Altman students can help the patients of St. Jude.
The link below sends you to the St. Jude website, where you can view a small portion of Tess' experience with St. Jude.
Register your child for the District 108 Mini Marathon, held at Mineral Springs Park on May 27! More information can be found with the links below. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our school.
