I have used the iPads with my students to make a Comic Life presentation about World War II. They took pictures of WWII objects from the internet and their books to use as pictures and wrote captions of information to go with the pictures to explain their understanding of WWII. They then presented these to the class by hooking up the iPad to the SMARTboard. I also used Comic Life and iMovie with my students to present their research projects. Some students used PowerPoint, some used Comic Life, and some used iMovie based on their personal choice. Some used Comic Life similarly to how they did for the WWII projects. Took pictures of their research topic and added captions of information. Some of the students used iMovie by taking pictures of their topic, adding captions, and embedding videos. Both were also presented on the SMARTboard. The students were very engaged and LOVED both programs. |
