I'm thrilled to be your child's 6th grade teacher this year. I have been teaching and in education for 20 years. This is my fifth year at Pekin Schools. I have been a junior high language arts teacher, a district technology coordinator, and even a middle school principal. I chose to return to the classroom in order to spend more time with my FANTASTIC family, and to do what I love most- teaching children. I love to read, but it’s not all about reading…. I’m also a huge math and science nerd! In my fun time (the fun time NOT with my students)…. I like to ride my motorcycle. I do also sponsor the WIS Chess Club- we participate in a COUNTY tournament with other students that takes place in February.
