Storytime
Storytime is a 30 minute activity featuring stories and a craft
for children ages 3 and up. Storytime is held at 7pm on Mondays and 10am on
Tuesdays. No registration is required, but children may only attend one session
per week.
Toddler
Time
Toddler Time is a 30 minute interactive program featuring stories,
songs, and puppets for children ages 18-36 months and their parent or caregiver.
The next sessions for Toddler Time will start in March 5, 2008.

Children can bring in their handwritten/drawn posters, bookmarks or a short
summary of their favorite book and receive a special prize.

‘Grease’ on the library lawn, 6:30 p.m.
Come to the drive-in at Pekin Public Library to view ‘Grease’ on
the library lawn, while munching on movie snacks and playing games related to
the movie.

Homeschoolers History Book Club, 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 20
1st Negro Leaguers Recognition Day – which recognizes the teams and players
of the Negro Baseball Leagues for their achievements, dedication, sacrifices,
and contributions to both baseball and our Nation. Visit our special display
in the Children’s Department.

Adult Book Discussion Group, "Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind," by Ann

Friends of the Library Book Sale Room Bag Sale
$1 per bag - last Friday of every month.
Saturday, May 31
Summer Reading Kick-Off Party, 9:00 a.m.-12 noon Adults, young adults and children
are invited to the library's party to kick-off summer reading. All ages can
register for their age-appropriate reading program to earn prizes. The party
will include popcorn, door prizes, and crafts, as well as summer reading program
sign up sheets.
