Your Library Card
Library cards are provided free of charge to Pekin city residents. Other residents of Illinois may use their cards at the Pekin Public Library. See the library card page for more information.

How Long Can I Keep Materials?

Books, CDs, Audio Books, Magazines, Newspapers and Vertical File Items 3 weeks
Rental Books 2 weeks
DVDs, Videos and Software 1 week

Can't Find What You're Looking For?
If the item you want is checked out, you may request to have it reserved for you when it is returned. You will be notified when it becomes available. Requests may also be made for items that have been ordered but have not yet been received by the library. Requests may be in person, by phone, or online.
If the material you want isn't owned by the Pekin Public Library, we'll check with libraries throughout the state and nation to acquire it for you. This service is available for anyone with a Pekin Public Library card. There is no charge for materials borrowed in Illinois.
