When it comes to entertainment, Pekin has much to offer its visitors and residents. Join in one of our community festivals, visit a nearby zoo or entertainment center, dine at one of our unique restaurants or shop around town… you will find that Pekin has plenty to keep adults, teens and children busy!

"In December my husband and I relocated back to Illinois and built our new home in Pekin. It is a bit intimidating starting new jobs and moving to a new community but we have felt so welcomed by the Pekin community. I became a Chamber Ambassador and also went through the Chamber's Community Leadership Academy.  The leadership academy showed me what a great community Pekin is and everything they have to offer. As a way for us to get out and meet people, we volunteered to work the gate at this year's July 4th fireworks show. The event is very well put together for families wanting to get out and have a relaxing evening together."
