Pekin Public Library

The Pekin Public Library strives to fulfill the informational, educational and recreational needs of Pekin residents. The library is staffed 65 hours per week with knowledgeable employees to guide residents to the right information, book or item. Library cards are free to city residents.

In addition, the Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, educational research institution. At the Ehrlicher Research Center, visitors and members can view a wealth of information and records relating to the area’s heritage.
