The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce has developed several highly effective tools that are part of our Pekin What a Pleasant Surprise marketing campaign, including:  pocket folders, brochures, power point presentations, a website and print and television advertising.  Over the past several years, we have used these tools as part of our marketing campaign to promote the City of Pekin to potential new residents.  This campaign has made thousands of impressions in Central Illinois...influencing local and regional residents and opinion leaders. 

Committee members are reaching out - making presentations to influential regional groups that are important to our success.  We've been in front of Realtors, clubs and organizations, and local businesses.  We've also participated in regional home shows and business expos.

The primary source of funding for this marketing campaign comes from the sponsorship of the street banners you've seen around Pekin.  They help us spread the message and raise the funds to continue our marketing efforts.  Thanks to those who supported our program in 2007.  Now is the time for you to join them in 2008.  Sponsorships start at $455 for the year.  More information is available by calling the chamber at 346-2106.
