Their duties
were to serve the king and work in the fields.
Men wore stockings
or tunics. Women wore long gowns sleeveless tunics and wimples to cover
their hair.
In the winter
they wore woolen mittens and woolen hats. They also wore boots with planks
on them so there feet wouldn't get wet or cold.
They used reepers
and pitchforks in the fields were they worked.
To have fun
they usually played tricks on eachother and ruff housed a lot. They would
also sit around talking and drinking.
They were paid
with food from the noble's fields.
When they got
up they would go to the fields and start harvesting all of the vegetables.
They lived
in the western valley and the peasant houses were crowded because there
were 5 people in each house.
