Good day brothers, I am the Abbot of St. George Abby. My monks, sure have a hard time, but its worth it. They get feed good food, and good beer. We performed biblical plays outside the church. These plays where preformed with musical instruments and costumes, but apart from the plays and worshipping we also nursed the sick, taught, gave money to the poor, and tried to help people. We also made beer, grew food, and kept bees. It’s a hard-working, but peaceful life. We raised the bees for honey. The rules of a Monastery and Abby are: Ware simple brown tunics, never interrupt a conversation of high monks (Abbot, Prior, or The Cardinal) or chanting. Monks had to go to the church 8 times to do daily routines of worship that involved chanting, and reciting prayers from the mass. These are the rules of St. Benidict made in the 6th century. A Monastery once claimed they had the head of John the Baptists, but it turned out 3 other Monasteries claimed they had the head of John the Baptists. A wise tale also told that St. George went out slayed a Dragon and rescued an Egyptian Queen that would not age, 7 Monasteries claimed he lived with them. Us monks might be Religious, but many of us lie. Different monks wore different clothes. For example Catholic monks wore Ground length tunics of brown undied wool. Benidicts wore black, the Cistercians wore undied wooler white. Monk's clothes should be plain, but comfortable. A monks schedules where: Matins-2: 00 Am
