Ladies and Nobles Nobles divided their land among the lesser nobility, who became their servant's vassles.

When her husband was away the lady took on his responsibilities. Three social classes existed during the Middle Ages, the nobility, clergy, and serfs. Jannets were small gentle horses used by ladies. Castles were the homes and fortresses of, kings, nobles, and knights.

Female nobles enjoyed , sewing, talking and playing cards. Most people wore woolen clothing with linen undergarments made of linen. Brighter colors and better material and a longer jacket length were usually signs of greater wealth.
