S.A.B.I.D.  was a one year program designed to assist local area organizations with developing a web site.   Organizations who signed up for assistance was matched with a high school student who assisted them with their organizations needs.  The program was sponsored and funded by the Pekin.net Community Network.  Pekin.net was responsible for training the students, providing technical support for the students, paying student wages, and matching the students with specific organizations.  The organizations were responsible for providing content and design suggestions to the high school students. Applications for both local area organizations and high school students were due by May 15, 1999.  All applicants were contacted regarding their status no later than May 30, 1999.   High school students began work on June 14, 1999 and continued throughout the summer and into next school year.
