Plan
Do Study Act (PDSA) Training
Teams from Edison, Washington, Wilson, Dirksen, C
B Smith, Jefferson, Starke, Sunset Hills, Willow,
Central Office, and Special Education received training
on June 13-15 in the Quality Schools PDSA process.
PDSA is an action planning process that helps teams
address school improvement.

PLAN-
Define the issue with background information,
measures, current data
-
DO-
Analyze results, cause and effect, focus, relations
diagram, improvement theory
-
STUDY-
Test the improvement theory, Who, What, When, Compare
new results with old results
-
ACT-
Make
recommendations for improvement
The
training was facilitated by ASQ Quality Facilitators
Mary Lange and Pam Rosa. The teams will work on their
improvement plans throughout the 2001-2002 school
year.
