2001 Madigan Awards

The Thomas H. Madigan Awards were established in 1988 to recognize project team excellence in the completion of Capital Development Board construction and renovation projects. This year, twelve CDB construction and renovation projects were submitted for judging. The judges selected the winners based upon the following:

  • Aesthetic & Technical Features
  • Complexity and Programmatic Achievement
  • Estimate and Bidding Success
  • Design & Construction Schedule
  • Design-related Change Orders
  • Architect/Engineer & Contractor Performance Ratings
  • Project Teamwork

The District was one of the five winners selected out of the twelve projects considered for an award. The District received the Madigan Award for Special Recognition for School Renovation for the Washington Middle School/Wilson 2000 Addition Projects.

Project team partners Phillip Swager Associates, our architecture firm, and P.J. Hoerr, Inc., Koener Electric, Inc., and Gingher Process Piping, Inc., our construction contractors, also received certificates from CDB Director Kim Robinson to commemorate their contributions to the success of the Washington Middle School/Wilson 2000 Addition projects.
