2001
Madigan Awards
The Thomas H. Madigan Awards were established
in 1988 to recognize project team excellence in the
completion of Capital Development Board construction
and renovation projects. This year, twelve CDB construction
and renovation projects were submitted for judging.
The judges selected the winners based upon the following:
- Aesthetic & Technical Features
- Complexity and Programmatic Achievement
- Estimate and Bidding Success
- Design & Construction Schedule
- Design-related Change Orders
- Architect/Engineer & Contractor
Performance Ratings
- Project Teamwork
The District was one of the five winners
selected out of the twelve projects considered for an
award. The District received the Madigan Award for Special
Recognition for School Renovation for the Washington
Middle School/Wilson 2000 Addition Projects.
Project team partners Phillip Swager
Associates, our architecture firm, and P.J. Hoerr, Inc.,
Koener Electric, Inc., and Gingher Process Piping, Inc.,
our construction contractors, also received certificates
from CDB Director Kim Robinson to commemorate their
contributions to the success of the Washington Middle
School/Wilson 2000 Addition projects.
