DILT Funding Team Visits Capitol
The DILT Team's charge for this year is to influence and improve funding decisions in the Illinois General Assembly and keep area legislators aware of the District's needs and give our feedback about legislative bills.

Members of the DILT Funding Team attended the 92nd General Assembly open sessions of the Senate and House of Representatives. The team also attended a House Committee meeting on Elementary and Secondary Education. The committee discussed House Joint Resolution 76, regarding national testing and the impact on ISAT and PSAE. The team also saw rallies of the Illinois PTA for "Save our Children" to support funding for early childhood education and the Illinois Girl Scouts; took a walking tour of capitol sculptures; and attended a meeting of the Elementary District Organization (EDO).
