2005
District Institute
The teachers, support employees, and administrators
gathered on June 1, 2005 for the annual District
Institute. District Superintendent, Dr. Don White,
shared a dedication to the employees that retired
at the end of this school year. Attendees were also
entertained by the characters from the Wizard of
Oz and a video that incorporated past footage with
present vision. Ultimately, the employees were challenged
to “follow the yellow brick road” so
that the district can realize a positive future
by building on the past and facilitating and nurturing
the present. |

Eggstravaganza
Students in Miss Batterton's class are celebrating
the 101 birthday of Dr. Seuss. First we discussed
the book "Green Eggs and Ham" and then
we tried three new foods. These foods were Farina,
blue bread, and a marshmallow surprise. After we
sampled the foods, we wrote a descriptive paragraph
about the foods tried. Yummy! (Sunset School)
