IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Teacher Absence

Please call me between 5:45 and 6:30 a.m. if you are going to be absent.  Please contact me using the phone numbers in the following order:  1) 352-5940 (home), 2) 696-1681 (car), 3) 477-4700, ext. 1304 (school).  Please abide by this schedule as securing subs is important, and the timing of your call is an important part of successfully accomplishing this task.  Also, call the school and let us know as soon as possible whether or not you will be returning to work the next day.

Any other substitute arrangements are to be made with Becky Conway.  Closed days for leave will be posted in the lounge.

Field Trips
Please inform me of all field trip plans.  See Becky Conway to arrange bus transportation.  All students need a signed permission slip to participate in the activity.

Cumulative Records and Health Records
Cumulative folders are to be kept in the teacher’s room in a safe area.  You are responsible to keep the records up to date.  Be certain all test results are appropriately recorded.  Also, update the family and address information on the front cover.

Health and Dental records will be kept in the nurse’s office.  Any important changes in health information should be reported to the office throughout the year.

Fire and Disaster Drills
Fire drills will be scheduled each month.  Disaster drills will be held the first Tuesday in September, October, February, March, and April.  An exit route from each classroom and a list of procedures should be posted in each room of the school.  Please teach and review the procedures used in each drill to your class.  Let the office know if you do not have a “Procedure Map.”

Refunds
You have a “Classroom Purchase Reimbursement Form.”  Please use this form when seeking reimbursement, and follow the directions on this form.

Lunch Procedures

The collection envelope should be sent to the office with the attendance by 8:50.  (Note:  the students’ lunch cards will be given to the teachers before school so that they can be distributed at lunch time.)
