FIVE-YEAR FACILITIES PLAN
  • Worked with Facilities Committee to develop five-year facilities plan including preparation for a life safety re-survey in 2002.
-Reviewed building needs assessments -Established priorities -Identified life safety needs -Considered long range systems replacement/renovation concept -Estimated budget amounts
  • Developed five-year facilities plan objectives:
-Raise the standards of every classroom in the District to include new windows, paint, and carpet/floor covering. -Complete Wilson and Washington window replacement plan. -Prioritize building adaptations that can neither be deferred nor included in the 2002 life safety renovations. -Coordinate with various District committees in developing priorities. -Perform required renovations for "Old" (Wee) Wilson. -Act on these objects when funds become available.

  FIVE-YEAR FACILITIES PLAN
  • Will complete projects in accordance with five-year plan provided funding is available.
  • Will coordinate with Facilities Manager, an architect, and contractors to complete life safety survey.
  • Will identify funding sources for life safety projects. Projects estimated to be $5 million. Life safety bonds typically paid over 10 years.
  • Will begin life safety projects as early as summer 2002. Projects are generally implemented over three summers.
