CONTRACTED FOOD SERVICE
  • Negotiated and renewed food service/ancillary contract with ARAMARRK for a 2.4% CPI-U inflationary increase and ancillary services at same pay rate.
  • Adjusted lunch prices
- K-3 $1.30 to $1.35 - 4-8 $1.40 to $1.45 - Adult $1.70 to $1.75
  • Conducted student, staff, and parent survey. Overall feedback indicated satisfaction with current food service program.
  • Expanded the Kyrus automated lunch payment program to the primary buildings.

  • Negotiated and renewed custodial services contract with ARAMARRK for a 3% increased base rate (actual increase of 13% with new Wilson square footage). Project labor rate increased by $2 as it was flat for the past eight years.
  • Increased cleaning area by 37,000 square feet due to new Wilson School.
  • Conducted yearly walk through with Principal and ARAMARK supervisor.
  • Conducted annual facility needs assessments with Principals and Facilities Manager.
  • Addressed and prioritized facility needs assessments with Facilities Manager and Facilities Committee.

CONTRACTED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
  • Negotiated and renewed transportation services contract with City of Pekin for a 5% increase plus fuel escalator clause and mandated part-time fluid position. Renewed PPFEP transportation at a 4% increase that is grant funded.
  • Renewed special education and rural transportation contract with Hoyle Transportation at a 4% increase plus fuel escalator clause.
  • Met with transportation carriers to address problems.
  • Requested and received approval from Illinois Department of Transportation for hazardous safety route due to boundary changes. Notified effected school and transportation carrier.
