Action Plan

GOAL: Prepare for a quality assurance visit from the Illinois State Board of Education to be conducted during the 2001-2002 school year.

  1. To understand the Baldrige criteria/ expectations for Educational Performance Excellence as defined by Koalaty Kid and to apply the criteria to present School Improvement efforts.
  2. To collect data to document self-assessment of progress of the school toward meeting the expectations of the criteria.
  3. To apply appropriate quality tools and strategies to identified goals in School Improvement plan and/or classroom instruction.
  4. To provide a variety of learning opportunities to experience and share the successes and challenges that these tools and strategies provide.
  5. To learn to use quality strategies and tools to assist in student, teacher, parent, administrator and other collection of assessment of school improvement and performance excellence.

Conduct monthly administrative inservice meetings to review the rubric and support materials for each of the seven criteria as defined in A Guide to Performance Excellence for Schools.
