Three subcommittees will address the following issues:

  • Re-certification

Provide orientation related to re-certification legal mandates, procedures, and assistance in developing Certificate Renewal Plans.

  • CEU/CPDU Credit Design

Design CEU and CPDU offerings as part of the District Academy for both tenured and non-tenured staff.

  • Incentives

Review, refine and communicate processes related to incentives available for re-certification efforts to include tuition reimbursement, tuition waivers, course approvals, CPDU approvals, etc.

Confirm and convene the LPDC (Local Professional Development Committee).

Membership: 3 classroom teachers and 2 administrative representatives & alternates per ISBE requirements.

Attain ISBE "Provider" status to award CPDUs – Continuing Professional Developmnet Units.
