7J went to Great Oaks Campground on April 27
and 28 and experienced "Outdoor Education." The program
is designed to give students an experience in nature while using
teambuilding activities. Eighty-seven students and almost 20
parents and staff members went on the two day, one night trip to
the camp just outside of Lacon, Illinois. The highlights of the
trip included the "zip-line" (you'll have to ask a
student!), presentations by Marge Bjorkland (animals) and
Garry Moore (African History), and the extremely cold showers in
Eagle Nest! The students had a wonderful time and will remember
this trip for a very long time. A HUGE thank-you to Mr. Larry
VonBehren who organized the entire trip. Pictures Pictures Pictures Pictures Pictures |

8S had their Exhibition Night on April 13.
Students were each given their own table in which they displayed
various pieces of work from throughout the school year. The focus
of the evening was on families and family history. One student, Jessica,
actually had four generations of her family attend the
exhibition. A huge thanks to students who stayed after school to
help set up and to parents and students who attended this special
evening. |
