Mellump classes  (Mrs. Melloy and Mrs. Stump) had guest readers to share How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Our guest readers, Dr. Nelson, Mr. Heisel, Mr. Fairchild, and Mrs. Quintiliani did a great job!  After our guest readers were done, the class pondered the question," What makes How the Grinch Stole Christmas a timeless tale?"  Mellump classes then worked on organizing information from the story to answer the question in the ISAT Open Ended Response question format.
The Junior WebMasters have been hard at work preparing sites for the teachers and students at Broadmoor. The first page they worked on is called the "Cool Site" and contains all sorts of links to very interesting and entertaining websites. The second page is called "Clipart" and has many, many sites that contain clipart, backgrounds, and screensavers. These two pages can be found on the Broadmoor website in the green bar at the top of the page. The Junior WebMasters meet every Tuesday and are under the direction of Mrs. Link.
Broadmoor artists adorned the windows of downtown Pekin with their festive artwork. Even though the weather was not "Christmas like," the young people had lots of Christmas spirit to pass around. Thanks to all who helped paint and to Mrs. Borsch for her guidance in the project. If you get a chance this holiday season...drive downtown Pekin and take a look at the really cool windows!
Young ladies and gentlemen were honored for being part of Broadmoor's basketball and baseball teams. The Fall Sports Awards were given out to a very dedicated group of Bruins. The teams were honored with lots of special awards being given. A special thank-you goes out to Mr. Fogal, Mrs. Fogal, and Mr. Holcomb for all of their hard work and dedication in coaching.
