February, 2004

Broadmoor hosted the district wide spelling bee on February 20. There were bee winners from Broadmoor, Edison, Wilson and Washington. Congratulations to Megan Zwicky, an 8th grader from Edison, for being the district champion. Leah Anderson, a 5th grader from Washington, was the runner up. Thanks goes out to Mr. Russ Trowbridge for moderating the bee and Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Nevius for their excellent judging. Good luck to Megan as she will represent the district in the Tazewell County Spelling Bee.
