Bubble Gum Science
Ever wonder what the properties of matter are?  Probably not.  Ever wonder what type of gum is the best for certain properties of matter?  Probably not.  The students in 7J science are learning about the properties of matter by performing a consumer product test of different types of bubble gum.  During the process they will attempt to determine which brand is the best in terms of a property of matter.

Litmus Lab
  Currently we are working on a unit in chemistry.  We recently completed a lab where students tested different household chemicals to determine their pH.   This is a great lab to try at home.  It's easy to make your own litmus paper.
