Martin Luther King |
| Martin Luther King! When you hear that name you think of
freedom, but to me he meant so much more than just plain freedom. To me he
was a hero to those less heroic. He wanted to make everyone equal, blacks
and whites. None else had enough courage to stand up and say what they
felt about the freedom of America. He was a true hero.
He led several boycotts and strikes. He led the boycott for the restaurants, which would not allow blacks to eat or even drink there. The things people needed to live they denied them the right to have. But Martin Luther King gave them that right. He was arrested twice for boycotting things. He also helped with the boycott of the bus systems. He was arrested there, by simply sitting in the front of a bus, just like Rosa Parks. He helped the rights of others in their time of need. Many other people followed him. Martin Luther King fought for the freedom of those who couldn't. To me it means the world to be a hero to at least one person. At least I think that standing up for what you believe in, is the key thing to success. Martin Luther King was not just a freedom fighter, to me he was a hero. |
