Tryouts for cheerleading were held August 30th at Broadmoor Junior. High School. The results were posted that evening. Eight 8th graders and four 7th graders made the team. The 7th graders on the team are: Maygan Chasteen, Amanda Wisenberger, Abbey Sarff, and Amber Carroll. The 8th graders who will cheer include: Lindsay Addy, Lauren Ehrett, Ashley Madden, Emily Berger, Briana Delaware, Danielle Brown, Tiffany Bridgeman, and Kirsten Grossweiler. The girls will be cheering for both home and away games. Come out and cheer along with them! Dates for the first home game will soon be announced. By: Lindsay Addy and Lauren Ehrett

Broadmoor’s pompon squad is looking forward
to the upcoming year. It is going to be lots of fun with this group of
girls. The 8th graders on the squad are: Charlie Swearingen, Tiffany
Brown, Haley Gossage, Natalie Reames, Holly Lowe, Stephanie Knollenberg,
Kaitlynn Stephens, Melody McLeod, and Samantha Andrewson. The 7th graders
are: Megan Nolan, Melanie Ramsey, Jami Halverson, Lindsey Dixon, Andrea
Duda, Natalyn Martin, Dara Feaster, Jennifer Erickson, and Katie VanDyke.
The girls will be picking captains in the upcoming month, which will be
8th graders. Then they will begin learning their dances, and perform them
at the boy’s home basketball games. The performances are during the 8th
grade half time game. Hope to see you all there!

The baseball tryouts were held on the first week of August. There are 18 boys on the team, six 7th graders, and twelve 8th graders. The 7th graders are: Zach Curless, Jamie King, Garrett Carney, Kyle Jennings, Jared Roach, and Tyler Ruschmeyer. The 8th graders are: Matt Lucas, Derek Whitton, Alex Krile, Colby Spangler, Isaac Horner, Blake Bredeman, Mitch Green, Tyler Arrenholz, Paul Heine, Jeremy Galvin, Brad LaFary, and Tommy Svendsen.
