Mr. and Mrs.
Pekin, IL 61554
Dear Mr. and Mrs.
After checking first two report cards, I have a serious concern. Grades and over all academic performance neither meet our expectations, nor do they accurately reflect his potential as indicated by his teachers. Unless there is a dramatic improvement in grades, he will not be promoted to eighth grade, and he will be retained and assigned to the same team of teachers at Broadmoor.
And his teachers have developed a plan that will lead to successful completion of seventh grade. Your participation and support of this plan is crucial to future as there is still time to make up for his poor academic performance. I strongly suggest you make arrangements to meet with teachers. Develop a supportive parental strategy to ensure the efforts made by and his teachers at school are systematically enforced at home. Every day is important to successful completion of seventh grade. Please do not delay in acting on these suggestions.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffry B. Nelson
