Broadmoor and Edison ISAT Performance
The reports listed below show Illinois State Board of Education preliminary status findings for Edison and Broadmoor Junior High Schools. Each school in District 108 is expected to be rated either "Adequate Yearly Progress" (AYP) or Academic Early Warning (AEW).
AYP and AEW ratings are determined by the percentage of students earning either a Meets or and Exceeds score on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT). The combined Meets and Exceeds (M+E) percentage is computed for all students combined and also for each subgroup of students within the school. For each group of students:
- "Yes" means that the M+E percentage is at or above the state target.
- "No" means that the M+E percentage is less than the state target.
To be labeled AYP, the word "No" can not appear anywhere on the school's report. Each subgroup must achieve "Yes" three times, and the school as a whole must achieve "Yes" four times.
The AEW label is given to schools that do not make AYP fro two consecutive years. Schools with the AEW rating must provide the opportunity to attend an AYP school to all students who wish to do so.
