This quote sums up my educational philosophy.  I want my students to take an active role in their education.  If a child can realize how much they are learning this will help them see the school year as an accomplishment.  The best way to do this is to involve the child with a hands on approach.  The child will take more of the lesson with them because they are actually using their senses to learn. 

As an educator, I believe that education isn’t about simply giving students facts and numbers, but rather fueling their imaginations with a vision to strive for more.  This will instill a passion for learning in the child.  Once children have found this passion they are able to make connections between what they love and other subject areas.  This makes learning more fun and exciting for everyone.
