Thank you for taking the time to look at my professional portfolio!  In this section, I will tell you a little bit about myself. 

     I am originally from the small town of Wyanet, which is about an hour north of Peoria. After living in a small farm town for 20 years, I have developed many small town interests.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and anything that involves being outdoors!  I also enjoy music and playing my drums. 

     On May 20, 2006, I will be married to a wonderful woman named Angie.  Angie is also finishing her college education at Illinois State University as a middle level education major.  We will be happily living in Bloomington, Illinois.  My parents still reside in Wyanet, Illinois.  My father, John, is a carpenter and my mother, Nancy, is a nurse at a local hospital.  I also have one brother, Josh, who is married and living near Seattle, Washington. 

     

At the time I am creating this portfolio, I am finishing my student teaching experience through the Professional Development Program at Illinois State University.  On May 13, 2006, I will graduate from ISU with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  I will be certified to teach Kindergarten through ninth grade with endorsements in social sciences and language arts.
