The first thing that I want to do while looking back on my year in the Pekin Professional Development School program is thank Julie Funk, my mentor teacher. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, providing me with a tremendous amount of resources and knowledge, for your friendship, and most of all for teaching me.....because that is what we do.

I would also like to thank my liaison, Mary Lange for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing program.

I feel that I have grown throughout my journey of student teaching. I feel that I have become more confident, that I have developed exceptional classroom management skills, and that I have found the characteristics within myself that are going to make me an excellent teacher.

As my journey comes to an end, I know that I will always look back on this experience and remember where I learned the most about being the teacher that I want to be.
