As an educator, I believe it is my responsibility to create life long learners.  To achieve this goal, I need to focus on the whole child; academically, emotionally, socially, and physically.  Thus creating a child who will achieve academic and personal success in life.

Also it is my goal to create a community in my classroom that is safe and fosters creativity.  In this environment, I will provide opportunities for a variety of instruction and hands on activities to explore.

Lastly, I want to be a positive influence in their life.  Children need a role model who will be supportive, inspiring, caring, and encourage them to succeed.  Therefore, I believe an effective teacher should focus on the whole child, create a safe environment, and be a positive role model for their students.
