"To teach is to touch lives forever." - Anonymous
Looking back at the past year, it amazed me how much I have grown as a teacher and as a person. In the beginning of the year, I was nervous to step into the classroom and interact with students, now teaching is natural.
This year long program has really prepared me for the road ahead of teaching. In the beginning I was unsure of how to plan, assess students, classroom management, and how to be a positive force in a student's life. This year has helped me develop the skills to create engaging lesson plans, how to assess my students, and most of all have fun in the classroom. I would not trade this experience for anything.
I would like to thank my amazing mentor, Kelly Warner. Over the past year, she has been not only my mentor, but my friend. Thank you for all of the guidance, wisdom, encouragement, and support throughout the last year. You have helped me become the teacher that I am today. Lastly, I would also like to thank the other staff at C.B. Smith Primary School and my liaisons, Mary Lange and Mike Muren. They are all such wonderful people and they have made it difficult to leave.
