I have traveled many roads to get to where I am today. I have been a shoe salesperson, a waitress, a member of the United States Navy, a wife, a mother and now a teacher! I feel that all of my experiences make me the person that I am today.
I grew up in New Jersey. After high school, I decided to join the Navy. This was probably the best decision I have ever made; I excelled in the Navy. I was very proud to have served my country during Desert Storm. I received numerous awards while in the service. I was stationed in the Bay Area during the big earthquake of 1989. This is also where I met my husband Larry.
Larry and I married and had two great children. Megan is 8 years old and in third grade. She is such a beautiful and loving girl. She plays basketball and loves to read. Devin is 5 years old and ready to start kindergarten this year. He is so full of energy and a riot! He loves to play with his Matchbox cars. I love spending time with my kids. We are looking forward to a fun summer!
I am so happy to be graduating and doing what I have always dreamed of doing. I love being a part of the learning process. Children can teach us so much. If I can help one child realize how special they are, then I am doing pretty well.
Thanks for taking the time to read about me.
