Hello!  My name is Kristin Schubert.  I am currently a senior at Illinois State University.  I am looking forward to graduating on May 13, 2006 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading, social science, and language arts. 

I just wrapped up my year long student teaching experience in a first grade multi-age classroom.  I learned so much from working with 42 kindergarten and first graders.  I also learned a lot about collaborating to create activities for such a diverse group of learners.    

I am from Palatine, IL, a northwestern suburb of Chicago, where I am currently living with my parents and three younger sisters.  It would be wonderful to find a teaching position in the area. 

I have always enjoyed working with children and have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  I cannot wait to finally have my own classroom where I can make a difference in my student’s lives.
