My name is Lori McCoy.  I have lived in Pekin for most of my life.  I am married and have three beautiful children of my own.  I enjoy taking trips with my family and friends.  I attend many sporting events since my children are involved in baseball, soccer, cheerleading, tennis, football, and basketball.  I also enjoy listening to the rain and reading a good book.

              I decided to go back to school after I realized that my career in insurance sales was not where my heart was.  I had always volunteered in my children’s school and found it to be very rewarding.  After much consideration, I took the plunge, quit my job and went back to school.  Not one day has passed that I have regretted my decision.  I find teaching to be one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done.
