As graduation is quickly approaching, looking back at the PDS experience has done nothing but reinforced my passion in becoming a teacher.  I feel that deciding to involve myself in a year-long student teaching experinece was the best decision I could have made.  Having the opportunity to work in a kindergarten and fourth grade classroom has opened my eyes to the wonderful benefits of teaching.  I never would have seen myself as a kindergarten teacher, but after taking part in phase II (being in a kindergarten room), I enjoyed the experience more than ever!

If I was never offered this life-changing opportunity, I do not think I would have the confidence I do now.  I feel extremely prepared and ready for whatever the future holds for me in regards to my own classroom.  I feel blessed for having this program in my life and would not have become the teacher I am today without it!

I have changed so much throughout this nine month adventure.  There have been many ups and downs, but it is all about finding yourself and your niche for teaching.  I feel I have found my "niche," and am prepared because of this extensive program!
