I feel that as an educator I have the opportunity to  change lives. Every child is a unique individual and deserves an enriching and challenging educational experience. Diversity within a classroom is a blessing that allows children to see the world through different lenses and allows us to develop as tolerent and confident members of society. Through developing mutual respect and trust in a supportive and safe learning enviornment, students have a chance to learn and grow.

As a teacher, it is my job to help students realize their strengths and to overcome their weaknesses. I am there to guide, support, and challenge my students to become sucessful and confident life-long learners. I hope to show my students the value of education and to illustrate how you do not recieve an education, but rather achieve one.

By becoming a member of this profession, I have come to realize the importance of creating and maintaining my moral and intellectual values, and also of continuing my own education in order to better serve my students. I believe that my behaviors will affect my students and that I need to display desirable characteristics and values. I need to show enthusiasm for the knowledge and content that I teach, and need to provide consistency and empathy to those under my care.
