My name is Sara Almdale. I grew up in Bloomingdale, Illinois, which is a western suburb of Chicago. I have been living in East Peoria for the past year, during my internship.  My father is an engineer and my mother is an accountant. I have two older sisters, Dianna and Laura. 

 

I am graduating from Illinois State Univeristy in May 2006 with a degree in elementary education.  I have spent the past year participating in the Pekin Professional Development School.  I am excited about getting my first teaching job. 

One of my lifetime hobbies has been bowling. I have been bowling since I was five years old. I participated in my high school bowling team.  I joined the Illinois State University bowling team in college.  While on the team, I made great friends, learned leadership skills, learned how to work as a team, and met people from different colleges from all over the country.  My highest game is 279, and I’m hoping for a 300 somewhere near in the future.
