This year has been a whirlwind of experiences for me. I have gained so much by being apart of the PDS program. I have watched myself grow and mature. I have gained the confidence and the skills to become an effective teacher. I have learned the importance of reflection, flexibility, and the ability never to give up on my students.  I have been apart of a classroom for an entire year of school and I have learned so much from the students as well as my mentor. My mentor and the staff around me became like family to me. They were so supportive and gave me the resources that I needed in order to succeed in my student teaching. They taught me life lessons through conversations with them and by the examples they set with their lives. I am very fortunate to have been able to participate in the PDS program. This program has developed my passion for teaching and I am so excited to have my own classroom.
