What is education? That is a question I have and always will ask myself. It is also a question in which I am certain the answer will constantly change.
As a Pekin PDS intern, I have been drilled with the "Fish Philosophy." The basic components of this type of philosophy include "making their day, there, playing, and choosing your attitude."
Not a day goes by that I do not follow this particular philosophy. It comes natural to educate my students in this manner.
Besides living by the "Fish Philosophy" I also believe that it is crucial for a teacher to provide a "safe haven" that promotes and fosters active and cooperative learning.
