Hi, my name is Meg Wilmarth.  I grew up in Germantown Hills, a suburb of Peoria, Illinois, with my parents and younger sister, Laura.

I graduated from Metamora Township High School in 2003 and went to college at Illinois State University, where I majored in elementary education and minored in history.  I graduated from ISU through the Pekin Professional Development School program in 2007.

Having come from a long line of teachers, I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher for as long as I can remember.  My mom is a teacher, as was my grandma, as was her mother, and so on.  I will be a fifth generation teacher, and the other educators in my family have been a huge inspiration to me.

In addition to teaching, my other loves include reading, music, movies, computers, chocolate, and cats.
