As a teacher, it is my goal to inspire my students to become life long learners and give them the tools they will need to succeed no matter where life takes them.  To be a successful teacher I must be willing to be a life long learner myself and seek out ways to further develop my teaching skills.  I believe that Pekin Professional Development School has given me the tools I need to do this throughout my teaching career.  I have learned how to plan, instruct, create a good classroom environment, and reflect on my teaching.  I was also given the opportunity to apply these skills in a year long classroom experience that has prepared me to be an effective teacher in my very own classroom.
