"Let the world change you
and you can change the world"

I think developing the whole student is very important. I feel that as a teacher I am not only teaching students’ knowledge but teaching them how to work in groups. I am also teaching them how to act in society and how they can improve their community. I feel that the most important thing is that they become a well rounded citizen. Students learn in different ways, and when you have different instructional methods, children are more involved in learning. I also feel that involving students in learning is very important. When children have choices they are able to feel they have some control over what they are learning. I think the most important part of my educational philosophy is that children have fun while learning. When students enjoy learning, the lesson will have a greater impact on them. My philosophy impacts my professional practice because my lessons show the philosophy, along with little things that happen in the classroom that get students involved in a lesson. My philosophy not only affects the students I teach, but it impacts the collaboration I do with other professionals as well.
