About Me

My name is Ashley Over. I grew up in Pekin, Illinois and attended Pekin Public Schools. After high school I decided to attended Illinois Central College to jump start my further education. I graduated from I.C.C. with an associates degree in art and science with a focus in elementary education. While at I.C.C., I completed three semesters of their sign language interpretation program. I did not have the opportunity to complete the program since the school did not have instructors for some of the classes. From there, I made the choice to attended Illinois State University due to its strong reputation in the field of education.

I have just completed a year long internship with Pekin District 108. Pekin has a special relationship with Illinois State University and I have had the opportunity to take part in their Proffessional Development School Program (P.D.S.). The program gave me the oppurtunity to student teach in kindergarten, third grade, fourth grade, and both seventh and eigth grade math. I have loved every experience that have had to grow and learn as an educator. I would not change anything about any of my experiences.
