Hello, my name is Brandye Edwards. I have grown up in a military family moving all over the Eastern side of the United States.

      For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be an elementary school teacher; therefore, everything I did in and out of school has lead me to where I am now. Everything from studying hard, internships, and student teaching has guided me to follow my dream and path of teaching children.

      Along with professional preparation, I have taken on numerous professional enrichment opportunities to prepare myself to become the life-long learner I expect my students to become. I have helped with the Illinois Reading Conference, Destination Imagination, Young Authors, Family Reading Night, and school fundraiser.

       In addition to teaching, my passions are my family, books, and personal writings.
