My name is Dara Bruner. I grew up in the small town of Herscher, IL with a large extended family constantly around. At Herscher High School I was involved in several activities, including softball which took up most of my time. I love spending time with family, friends, and my dogs Dusty (after Dusty Baker, former manager of the Cubs, Go Cubbies!) and Libby, a 5 lb Yorkie.

I was fortunate enough to attend Illinois State University, which led me to the Pekin Professional Development School. This program has allowed me to be fully immersed in the school environment from the beginning of the year. During my student teaching I have grown so much , and I am very excited to have a classroom of my own to work with students and grow more with them.
