My name is Heather Davis.  I grew up in the small town of Tremont, Illinois, and I continue to live there today.  My immediate family also lives in Tremont, and we love the small town environment.  My family is very important to me, and I enjoy spending time with my parents and two older brothers.  Both of my brothers are married and have children.  I love playing with my nieces and nephew, and it has been amazing to watch them learn and grow. 

After graduating from Tremont High School in 2004, I continued my education at Illinois State University.  I chose my major of Elemenatary Education because of the impact some of my teachers had on me.  I hope to influence my students to become life long learners who strive to reach their full potential.  While at ISU, I spent time going to classes as well as tutoring a small group of Kindergarten students and helping coach the University High School Cheerleading Team.  I was also involved in Kappa Delta Epsilon, an honorary fraternity.

I have spent the last year as an intern in Pekin School District 108.  I spent a majority of the time in a third grade classroom. This year was a growing process for me, and I left the third grade classroom with confidence to teach my own class and a strong working relationship with my mentor teacher.
