My name is Jason M. Brown. I began my pursuit to become an educator after serving ten years as a sales manager. I knew I needed to make a drastic career move for the betterment of my family. After many discussions with my wife, I chose the path of educating children and I could not be happier with my choice.
My career and life experiences have prepared me for the diverse climate I will encounter in my classroom. I have two young sons that have encouraged me to take the chances and risks of enrolling into college as a nontraditional student. I started my collegiate career at Illinois Central College. During this initial experience I developed my passion for education. After two years at ICC, I transferred to Illinois State University to further my education. Attending this prestigious university was an honor and a privilege that I will never forget. The university gave me the insight and training that was necessary for my development as an educator.
I consider myself to be a strong leader and a dedicated family man. I believe these strong characteristics will create a safe learning environment for all of my students.
